Epitaph for Gratry Lorthiois, the French Weaver

The company ‘Gratry Lorthiois’ disappeared to become a brand name in 2009. When the new owners Antoine and Damien Willefert bought the company in January, 2009 I left the company several months later.

Letter From Canada: Ray Lenauskas, Veteran Fabric Supplier, Sounds Off: “What’s Wrong with Our Global Industry”

Our industry continues to struggle on many fronts. Downsizing and shortened workweeks have become the accepted norm. The number of inquiries made by wholesale customers to verify availability and current pricing has added another layer to the daily burden handled by a reduced staff within most organizations.

Letter to the Editor

It was very nice to see you again at MoOD, but unfortunately we had not enough time to talk to you about our future plans that we already started to realize.

JB Martin Disputes Mention in Article

We at JB Martin were surprised to see our company mentioned in an article referencing Deball's, (formally JL Deball's), most recent financial difficulties.

We have no interest in disputing the upbeat and hopeful tone attached to the abrupt closing of Deball's manufacturing plant and its expected reopening. We understand the difficulties facing most North American textile companies and we also believe that a healthy and vibrant marketplace needs a diversity of product. We welcome and applaud the effort made by Deball's management and union.

Correction: Enzo degli Angiuoni Spa to Show Privately During Proposte

Roberto Angiuoni clarifies the plan for Enzo degli Angiuoni Spa's presence in Italy this May.

I have read on Sipco.net the news regarding our presence in VILLA ERBA during the next PROPOSTE Exhibition, May 2005.

This year Enzo degli Angiuoni Spa will not exhibit in Villa Erba but we will be showing in a private space exclusively reserved for us inside GRAND HOTEL VILLA D'ESTE (in Cernobbio). We will be showing in the same days of the PROPOSTE Fair but outside Villa Erba (as we have always been doing for many years).

Roberto Angiuoni
